Old Photos From Before I Was Born
The following pictures are a series taken by my mom's uncle, I believe. I took them off my mom's computer when I made a disk of my pictures. (Don't worry. She knew all about it.) After my mom's aunt died, her cousin found these photos and scanned them for her. The first picture is my mom's aunt (Tante Trece, I think) and my dad's parents. How cool is that?! (Opa and Oma are my grandparents.)
Opa, Oma and Tante Trece(?)
This is my grandmother. People say that I look like her, especially my mom and dad.
Oma Aggie
This is my grandfather. I always think my dad looks a lot like my grandfather. I think it's their foreheads. The funny thing is people say I always look like my dad, so my dad must also look like his mom. In fact, I think he told me once that people told him he looked like his mom, but I still see my grandfather when I look at my dad.
Opa Adrie
I am not sure where this picture was taken, but I am sure some people would get a chuckle from Nuts City on the sign in the background. The building in the second picture could be the same town, could be a different one. I would fathom to guess it is still there, even though the folks in the picture aren't anymore.

This is my grandparents. I like how casual this picture is. Opa's wedding ring always seems to stand out to me when I see this picture, for some reason. Maybe because it looks like Oma is wearing hers.

You can see there is some damage to the pictures. I think the negatives got wet at some point or something along that lines. Still the sentiment and the history is there, which is what I love about old pictures.

Spineless Cactus
I took a break from this blog after finding out my mom was going to need surgery to drain an aneurysm. I had too many other things on my mind. If you would like, you can read more about her surgery on my regular blog. She is doing great, and I have more pictures to share.
